May 2020 East Nusa Tenggara Inflation 0.12 percent

Abstract

• May 2020, 3 cities in East Nusa Tenggara experienced inflation of 0.12 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.92. Kupang City experienced Inflation of 0.15 percent, Kota Maumere experienced Deflation of 0.05 percent and Kota Waingapu experienced Inflation of 0.06 percent.

• May 2020 inflation in East Nusa Tenggara occurred because of an increase in the price index in 8 of the 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest price index increase was the transportation group which rose by 3.47 percent.

• In May 2020, out of 90 National CPI sample cities, 67 cities experienced inflation and 23 cities experienced deflation. The city experiencing the highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City by 1.20 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pinang City, Bogor, Madiun by 0.01 percent. While the largest deflation occurred in Luwuk City by 0.39 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Manado by 0.01 percent.
