June 2021 Nusa Tenggara Timur Deflation 0,72 percent

Abstract

In June 2021, 3 cities in Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced deflation of 0,72 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105,29. Kupang City experienced deflation of 0,89 percent, Maumere City experienced inflation of 0,53 percent and Waingapu City experienced deflation of 0,63 percent.

The June 2021 deflation in East Nusa Tenggara occurred due to a decline in the price index in 3 of the 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest decline in the price index was the food, beverage and tobacco category, which fell by -2,03 percent.

In June 2021, of the 90 cities sampled by the National CPI, 34 cities experienced inflation and 56 cities experienced deflation. The city experiencing the highest inflation occurred in Singkawang City at 1,36 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Pekanbaru City and Tanjung Selor at 0,01 percent. Meanwhile, the largest deflation occurred in Kupang City at 0,89 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Palembang at 0,01 percent.
