The NTP of Nusa Tenggara Timur Province in August 2021 fell 0,01 percent when compared to the NTP in July

Abstract

The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2021 is based on the calculation of the NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). The calculation of NTP includes 5 sub-sectors, there were rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries.

In August, the NTP of Nusa Tenggara Timur was 95,05 with the NTP of each sub-sector recorded at 93,97 for the sub-sector of rice-palawija (NTP-P); 104,00 for the horticulture subsector (NTP-H); 91,80 for smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 104,07 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 92,26 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTP-Pi).

There was a 0,01 percent decrease in NTP in August when compared to NTP in July. The decline in the price index was caused by a decrease in the prices received and paid in August compared to the prices of the previous month. This decline occurred especially in the horticultural crop subsector.

In rural areas, deflation occurred, especially in household consumption commodities in the food, beverage and tobacco subcategories.
