December 2021 Farmer's Exchange Rate increased by 0,76 percent compared to November 2021

Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate in December 2021 is based on the calculation of NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). The calculation of NTP includes 5 sub-sectors, namely rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock, and fisheries.

In December, Nusa Tenggara Timur Farmer's Exchange Rate was 96,14 with Farmer's Exchange Rate for each sub-sector recorded at 95,36 for the paddy-palawija sub-sector (NTP-P), 98,01 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 92,23 for smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 108,17 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 93,49 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTPPi).

There was an increase of 0,76 percent in December when compared to November's NTP. The increase in the price index was due to an increase in receipt prices and an increase in prices for consumption commodities and BPPBM in December compared to prices in the previous month. This increase occurred in almost all sub-sectors except plantations.

In rural areas, inflation occurred, especially in household consumption commodities in the food, beverage and tobacco subcategories.
