Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2021 was 20,44 percent, a decrease of 0,55 percentage points against March 2021 and a decrease of 0,77 percentage points against September 2020.
  • The number of poor people in September 2021 was 1.146,28 thousand people, a decrease of 23 thousand people from March 2021 and a decrease of 27,3 thousand people from September 2020.
  • The percentage of the urban poor in March 2021 was 8,60 percent, down to 8,57 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2021 was 25,08 percent, down to 24,4 percent in September 2021.
  • Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 increased by 0,12 thousand people (from 118,76 thousand people in March 2021 to 120,58 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 24,85 thousand people (from 1.050,55 thousand people in March 2021 to 1.025,70 thousand people in September 2021).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at IDR 437.606/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 344.666 (78,76 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 92.941 (21,24 percent) .
  • In September 2021, on average, poor households in Indonesia have 5,38 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is Rp.2.354.320,-/poor household/month.
