Abstract

The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in June 2021 is based on the calculation of the NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation includes 5 sub-sectors, namely the rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries sub-sectors.

In June, Nusa Tenggara Timur's NTP was 94,36 with the NTP of each sub-sector recorded at 92,83 for the rice-crop sub-sector (NTP-P); 105.50 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 91,36 for the community plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 103,85 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 92,56 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTP-Pi).

There was a decrease of 0,13 percent in NTP in June when compared to NTP in May. The decline in the price index was caused by the downward movement in the price received and paid in June.

In rural areas, deflation occurred, especially in household consumption commodities in the food, beverage and tobacco subcategories.
