Abstract

  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in September 2021 is based on the calculation of the NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). The calculation of NTP includes 5 sub-sectors, namely rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries.
  • In September, the NTP of Nusa Tenggara Timur was 95,34 with the NTP of each sub-sector recorded at 94,29 for the sub-sector of rice-crop crops (NTP-P); 100,79 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 92,18 for smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 105,92 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 91.37 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTP-Pi).
  • There was an increase of 0,31 percent in the September's NTP when compared to the August's NTP. The decline in the price index was caused by an increase in the price received in September compared to the price in the previous month. This increase occurred especially in the livestock crop sub-sector.
  • In rural areas, deflation occurred, especially in household consumption commodities in the food, beverage and tobacco subcategories.
