October 2021 Farmer's Exchange Rate increased by 0,17 percent when compared to the period in September 2021

Abstract

The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in October 2021 is based on the calculation of the NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). The calculation of NTP includes 5 sub-sectors, namely rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries.

In October, the NTP of Nusa Tenggara Timur was 95,50 with the NTP of each sub-sector being recorded at 94,55 for the rice-palawija sub-sector (NTP-P), 99,31 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 92,40 for smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 106,12 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 91,79 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTP-Pi).

There was an increase of 0,17 percent in October when compared to September's NTP. The increase in the price index was due to an increase in the price received in October compared to the price in the previous month. This increase occurred in almost all sub-sectors except horticulture

In rural areas, inflation occurred, especially in household consumption commodities in the subcategory of equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance.
